You are meeting with one of your Field Service EngineerEngineers to conduct a one to one meeting. You used to be a Senior Engineer in this particular team and know the FSE well.
The FSE has been with GE for three years and in general has a good attitude towards his work plus a talent for solving technical issues across all modalities in his assigned area.
Whilst you are happy with his overall attitude, you are concerned though that the engineer is getting demotivated day by day and is beginning to underperform in some aspects.
This includes seeking to avoid accompanying service sales people on customer visits when needed, and failing to
identify potential sales opportunities and communicatingcommunicate these to the sales account team.
Furthermore, the FSE has become untidy in several administrative aspects of the role, including open jobs, TTS and concerns immediately toimmediate concerns of the Service Center and Delivery team and also completing any documentation in a timely manner on the area of SRQ – CHU requests.
You plan to address these issues at the review meeting.
The role play will last approximately 20 minutes.
