I CPS investigator, Sharrai Benavides, spoke with Mr. Burchfield today. Mr. Burchfield stated that he has known Ms. Miller for 13 or 14 years. He stated that he previously lived with her for about 3 or 4 years during their relationship. He believes that Ms. Miller is a good mother and he last saw the family the 2nd week of May for his son Corbin's birthday party. He stated Corbin appeared happy and very healthy. He stated that he believes Corbin is overweight, and that he has more than enough food to eat in his home. Mr. Burchfield stclatimed that he has never noticed any marks or bruises on Corbin, other than from rough housing around. He stated that there are no drugs being used in the home and that Ms. Miller only drinks occasionally. If he suspected abuse or neglect, he would contact CPS or law enforcement.
