Have you ever had that feeling where it feels like your soul has been ripped out and everything just follows out with
it? Usually, when you experience this, it's because of a heartbreaking or traumatic experience. It completely takes
your breath away, you're speechless, your mind is no longer racing, you have no thoughts, zero words to say. When
this happens
, for some people it's yourtheir brain's way of trying to block itself, it didn't see this coming. Parts of it essentially plunge into a state of snooze, so it can process what happened, and find a way to understand it. This process may take hours, days, weeks, months, or even years depending on how bad the circumstances and/or the person. A
year can go by where you feel like you almost forget about it and then bam. There it is. It clobbers you like a ton of bricks. Just when you thought you were good, your brain decides it is time for you to be derailed. You swear you start to be reminded of it everywhere, by every little thing. Memories start flooding back as if you were reliving them, and by the same token you break down, you cry. Why? Why does it do this? Now, now is the time to cope, to mourn. Your brain has decided you're ready, you're strong enough to deal with it, to be able to understand it. To be able to learn from it and push past it.
