I remember a day when some of my team mattesteammates were tired, and I could realizerealized that the reason for it, it's becausewas that some of them aren'tweren't pulling their weight on the job. Every day, they were coming in late to work, deliveringlate, completing their tasks withbut making big mistakes, without taking responsibility, especially withwhen it came to meeting deadlines. Therefore, some of the good team members were being overloaded with it.
So, I decided to talk with one of them to try to understand what iswas happening. I call forcalled a junior developer, she haswho had been hired six months agoearlier and now she has been having awas performing to low performancestandards. She told me of some reasons behind this, likesuch as problems with communicationsthe communication between the business and the tech teams. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. But I told her, that I'll ask for better performanceI wanted the team to perform better in the nextfollowing days. I that I'll not admit seeing the job ofalso told her that I would not allow the team to lower the bar. Even, even when they needneeded to bite the bullet withand make some changes onto the team.
I decided to move the desk position of some members of the team. And I could realizethen realized that some of them didn't like these changes, because it wasthey were for good. But, in only two weeks, I could realizesaw that huge progress had been made.
Even tothe members thatwho didn't like the changes ofthat had been made over the last few weeks, could admit that wasadmitted to them being for their own good.
