Almost a month ago, I waved my boyfriend off at the airport with no idea when I would see him again.
Before the spread of COVID-19, we havehad made travel plans together. I was supposed to spend my two weeks’two-week vacation with him in Australia this week. And eventually, I am planning to move and start a new chapter of my life with him.
With the spread of the virus, it is extremely dangerous for everyone to travel. Many countries now have travel restrictions, with some of those countries havehaving completely closed their borders, and people are being told to stay home at all costs. Before it got worse, I was so glad that my boyfriend managed to re-schedule his flight and travelledtraveled back to his home country sooner. COVID-19 took away my opportunity to travel, and it forced me into a long-distance relationship. The worst part is the uncertainty;. I have no idea when I would see him again. But, if we can get through this, our relationship is set for the future. I miss being able to hold each other, cookingcook together, and sharingshare meals on the same table, laughing at those weird random jokes, sniffing each other (mostly me!). These tiny, simple things suddenly mean so much now. Looking back at all the pictures that I sneakily took when we were together (*I’m so glad I did!*)did!*)have become super valuable to me. Everyone couldn’t help but laughinglaugh so hard that night. It was a funny, unforgettable memoriesmemory, and I can’t wait to have more with him.
