Please accept my application for the position research assistantship position. I am writing to apply for a mastermaster's degree in Human-Computer Interaction at Iowa State University. I am a graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and I am currently a Computer Operator at McAdam Graphics.
During my past and current work experience, I gained knowledge in both technical and communication skills. Designing; designing posters, magazines, and presentations to meet customer satisfaction.
MeetTo do so, I meet with clients or the art director to determine the scope of a project, Incorporateincorporating changes recommendedrequested by the clients into the final design and Reviewreviewing designs for errors before printing them. Also, I was also a teaching assistant in a design class, handling attendance records, daily correspondence with students, and grading assignments in a 20+ student Intro to design classDesign course.
During these experiences, I did research to dofor my projects and I found myself more tendthat I tended to solve problems, more when working with teammates, rather than just following instructions. I started doing research about UI/UX Design and I found it interesting to me and fitfitting to my career goals. I have a portfolio that demonstrates my skills in UI/UX Design, but I believe pursuing a mastermaster's degree in HumanHuman-Computer Interaction Design will boost my skills and knowledge better.
I would be an asset to the school because of my experience as well as my research and communication skills.
