There are so many things that have gone wrong, it is difficult to assess what to change, because if we change such negative things, such as a war, for example, in the short term, the consequences may be good, but what consequences can that decision have in the long term?
Take, for example, the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939).
Option A: weWe avoid it. Consequence in the short term is that we saved 700,000 deaths and enormous destruction. Spain remains a democracy in 1939, which makes us position ourselves with the Western democracies (France and Great Britain) before the Sudeten and Danzig crises. In 1940 Germany defeats France and the Nazis are planted on the Spanish border. The Germans invade Spain to take a break and, above all, to control the Strait of Gibraltar. Recall that the Germans had no scruples in attacking neutral countries to get control of the iron of Sweden, attacking and invading for this Denmark and Norway. Possibly weWe would possibly have had more casualties and destruction than that produced in the civil conflict, we already know how the Germans spend them. It is already a lot to speculate, but if the Nazis control the Mediterranean, they could have drowned the British economy and, who knows, win the war ?.
