Completing my study, I would expect to get results that depict both the differences and similarities between children with autism and neurotypicals individuals. However, based on the previous research that I’ve done, I hypothesize that my results will be leaning towards the differences amongst the two groups. PreciselyFor example, I would assume that it would be harder for autistic children to learn a new language because ofdue to the delays in the development of their primary language, lack in core skills and trouble with inference. IThe results would be present the resultspresented in various different ways. First, I would discuss how each group of children performed on their assignments and tests during class. While analyzing this, my goal will be to focus on specific areas that they struggle with the most. I would also discuss the children’s behavior in class and how they interacted with one another. I strongly believe that my findings will benefit various groups of people. My research goes beyond understanding second language learning. It opens the doors for improvement within the autistic education system by allowing teachers to further understand the struggles autistics depict individuals will have or develop while learning. In a similar manner, my study would inform parents how to approach second language learning.
