#4- Yuvraj Singh
There is very little doubt that Yuvraj Singh is one of the biggest match-winners India has ever produced in limited overs cricket. The southpaw, known for his elegantly timed shots, was a permanent fixture in India's limited overs side untilluntil 2011.
Yuvraj has won 34 man'man of the matchmatch' awards in 362 limited overs appearances for India, which areis more than the MOM awards won by the likes of Sehwag, Dhoni, Rohit, and Raina. In the IPL the same match-winning abilities of Yuvraj are highly reduced. In the IPL he has only 5 such awards in 128 appearances.
Yuvraj has scored 2652 runs in the IPL tillto date, at an average and strike rate of 24.68 and 130 respectively. These numbers are nothing but ordinary for a player like Yuvraj. The expectations that franchises have had from Yuvraj in the past 5 seasons can be clearly seen from the fact that he has gone for a total of 39 cr in his past four IPL auctions. Both, the expectations fromof the owners as well as from thethose of fans have not payedpaid any dividend, as Yuvraj in his last 45 games in the IPL, Yuvraj has scored only 801 runs at an average of 20 and a strike rate of 120. These stats clearly show that Yuvraj has pastpassed his prime and has turned out to be one of the IPL's top underperformersunder-performers.
