It has been a really tenacious route getting to “My Social Work Journey”Journey.” When I graduated from high school, I had no desire to attend college. I wanted to be a house wife and raise children. I shortly realized that was not the life for me. During my time as an undergrad student., I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. As, and my undergrad grades reflect this. I was merely into partying, sorority life, and boys. I simply wanted a diploma. After graduating, I took a job as a mental health tech at The Bridgeway. It was okay, the wage was reasonably good, and I still got to hang out with my peers. After a few years in this role., I realized that I would like to be an administeradministrator. Therefore, I enrolled in grad school and received my mastersmaster's in Health Care Administration. I was on top of the world. I started working in an administrationadministrative position, and promptly I realized that the administration path was not for me. It was devastating to observe, as the business office walked on to a unit letting patientand let patients know that they were out of benefits and either had to pay or leave. It was at that time that I started working as a case manager. Working, working with the social workers to find these patients additional services in their areas.
