My dream job would be a Criminal Investigator. I have always been curious about the process of how police officers know who to arrest for crimes committed. It all starts with the criminal investigators solving the mysteries or cases prior to making an arrest. While I was growing up living with my mom, she would always would watch shows like Criminal Minds or Law and Order. I bwould always gaingained an interest right away. Witnessing how these Investigatorsinvestigators dig deep into the minds of criminals is interesting. I am fully aware that this job comes with risks, as with several things in life. However, the benefits outweigh the risk and disadvantages of becoming a detective. I have always had it in my heart to do something in life that gives back to the community or puts the best interestinterests of other people in mind, to serve and protect. A career in criminal justice is an exciting, always changing career that makes a difference. As a criminal investigator, iI could be one of the first people to arrive at the scene of a crime. I would assess and solve crimes such as burglaries, assaults, homicides, and other areas of the community where there is criminal content. Being a criminal investigator requires skills such as; critical thinking, listening, verbal communication, social perceptiveness and complex problem solving. A career in criminal investigating can be extremely stressful. Common characteristics of criminal investigators are; integrity, stress, tolerance, self-control, dependability and attention to detail.
