The problem with this situation, when it is illegal for companies to reject job applicants forbecause of their age, is that... it doesn't work. It has never worked, it will never work. As empiricism shows, a department of human resources knows perfectly knowswell how to avoid this prohibition: in. In our country, for example, you will never see "you are too young, kid" in a line withwritten as a reason offor rejection. Instead of it, you'll see many smarty-lookedsmart words about your qualificationqualifications, with many soft apologies et cetera. If you suspect that you have becamebecome a victim of age discrimination, you can always try to appeal against it in a court,; but even one lazy attempt to find information about precedents allows me to say that it's almost useless. How can you prove that the reason for rejection is exactlyreally your age if you can only assume it? It will never be written on paper — often companies prefer even not to even send you thea message with the true reasons, silently sending the copy of your resume into the trash.
