For example, last month, a two-day-old baby born to a couple of Syrian refugees staying in Cyprus was rushed to Israel on a special flight. There was a serious defect in the baby's body that led to an emergency operation in Israel. The Cypriot Ministry of Health approached the Israeli ambassador, Sami Rabal, and asked him to assist in the baby's flight. Interior Minister Aryeh Deri approved the request of the Foreign Ministry, security and border control officials at Ben Gurion Airport, and enabled the care of the baby. We have reason to be proud.
