In the novel, St. Lucy’s Home for Girls Raised by Wolves, by Karen Russell, the protagonist, a girl named Claudette, who acts like a wolf, is sent to athe home to change her to act like a human. The author changes the girlsalters Claudette's character throughout the story, to developas she develops into a normal humanshuman. She faces problems on the way, which are separated into ‘stages’‘stages.’ These stages have a description of what the girls should be doing, deriving from The Jesuit Handbook on Lycanthropic Culture Shock. Throughout the novel, Claudette faces identity issues and personal struggles. She shows her, as she makes the change from wolf to human culture. The book is written from Claudette's perspective.
