It was partone of the coolest days; on, December 12, 2015, and the wind was blowing eastward. The season whas itd peaksed at aits level. On theis same date, I haved intended to travel to Zaria's town, two hundred kilometers away from the ancient city of Kano, in northern Nigeria. Travel was scheduled to commence byat 10am, with friends. Unfortunately, we caouldn't make it, as there was no regasource to fuel the car, to the destination.

I left the scene around 10am, and went down to the office, with extremely contupsempt to have missed such an important spiritual event;: the flag up ceremony of the first day of the month of “Rabiúl Awwal’", the third month of the Muslim calendar. It was on that day, that the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Shaik Ibraheem Zakzaky, was scheduled to lead the ceremony, at the multi-purpose Muslim center, “Hussainiyya BaqiyatullaH." It was to commemorate the birthday of the prophet Muhammad.
