My motivation to apply has been influenced by perception that all forms of persuasion used in daily lawyer’s daily routine, whether it’s litigation, mediation, cooperation, or simply communication, are part of the negotiation process. Ultimately, that is what practicing law is really all about, and what lawyers must be proficient at in order to be successful in their practices. This perception ariosed from my experiences related to law during my studies abroad and at Vilnius University, which are reflected in my CV. Attending the Shearman & Sterling LLP’s Head Start Programme in March 2016, while studying at the University of Warwick, afforded me the opportunity to analyse a deal with trainees, which intimated that New England's Sports Ventures wasere advised by the firm about the acquisition of the Liverpool Football Club. This experience firstly enabled me to understand the importance of negotiation for concluding an acquisition agreement.
