The way I used this strategy was to look over some of my math work from class, in order to do my homework. I couldn’t remember how to solve some of the problems and, so I went back and looked through my notes in order to remember how to solve them. You don't have to go through something fully thoroughly, you just need the main points in order to help trigger your brain to remember something.
