Hi, Malcolm,
To keep it simple, there are 2two different options that we can provide the clients when offering mastering of Audio CD.
FILES REQUIRED
Files required in order to create an Audio CD – WAV Files or MP4 FILES
(WAV files are lossless, uncompressed, broadcast CD quality music files. Use MP3 files for web pages, web videos, — in fact, for anything on the Internet. An MP3 file is a compressed music file.)
Option 1 – Basic Mastered CD Charge to the Client £60
Standard Master from WAV Files or MP4 FILES, top create a straight CD master. Simple and easy, and does not require much more thatn file conversion.
No other information is required to create this type of file.
Option 2 – CD Text and Gracenote Mastered CD Charge to the Client £70
Again, its starts as an Standard Master from WAV Files or MP4 FILES. We would require some additional information from the client when they supply the files in order for us to create the CD master. We would ask that if the client canto supply the CD Ttrack information, twhisch needs to include the track titles, artist details, Mand music Ggenres in order for us to ensure that this information is on the CD.
CD-Text is an extension of the Red Book Compact Disc specifications standard for audio CDs. It allows for storage of additional information (e.g., album name, song name, and artist name) on a standards-compliant audio CD and viewing on compatible readers.
Gracenote – Well, you know how your ItiTunes or Ggeneric Android player seems to automatically know the names of songs, albums, and artists when you put a CD in your computer? That’s the work of Gracenote! Basically, your iTunes player queries their database to match the disc’s musical “fingerprint.”
I hope that this answers the questions that you mayight have.
Thanks
Chris
