This is to bring into your kind notice, that I have been shortlisted for the PhD interview at IIT Delhi to be held on the 20th of July, 2016. I would like to seek your permission to appear for this interview for a full-time PhD position. SIir, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this might have caused, and I never desired to mislead or block the JRF position under you. Since, I wish to pursue a PhD as my next career goal, I don't want to miss the interview process. Sir, will it be fine if I appear for the interview,? I hope I am not ruining my chances to be associated with your team in future.
