My name is Jung Ho kKim, and; I am a citizen of South Korea and permanent resident of the United States of America. I am currently working at the Argonne National Laboratory as a scientist. My wife’s name is Fan Wang, and; she is a citizen of Canada and a permanent resident of the United States of America. We would like to invite my mother-in-law, Xiaoxia Li, to come to the United States to visit us for this fall and winter seasons.

My wife and I got married oin January 2011, and oin September 2014, we welcomed our first baby – our son, Justin Kim. Becoming parents and watching our son growing makde us more deeply understand the meaning and importance of our family, ands awelso let uas know the hardship and devotion of parenting. Now we understand our parents, appreciate everything that they did for us, and miss them more than ever. Last year, we hadtook a two-week tripe into Korea, so I met my family in Kotherea, and my parents met their grandson for the first time. It was a really good time for our whole family. Due to the time limit of my vacation and difficulty of traveling with a baby, we did not visit my wife’s family in China. I kneow that my wife misses her family a lot, even though she contacts ther family every week throughby phone, sSkype, or fFacet Time, but it is not the same toas spending time with ther family in person. I am really sorry we canould not make the tripe to China last year. We would like to invite my wife’s parents to come here. Unfortunately, my father-in-law has had a minor health issue recently, butand still occasionally needs medical treatment and cannot travel internationally. So wWe would like to invite my mother-in-law, XiaoXia Li, to come to the United States to stay with us for 4 to 6 months.

Another reason we want to invite my mother-in-law is that we want her to be here for our son’s two year birth day. My mother-in-law was here with us during the birth of my son. She was here for his one month ceremony and his 100 day celebration. She saw his first smile and first rolling over with us together as a family. After my mother-in-law returned to China, she missed her grandson so much,. sShe kept looking at his pictures everyday and every time we did fFace tTime with her, she always wanted to see her grandson. When my mother-in-law left here early last year, our son was only few months old, and now he is almost two year old and he is startsing to run around everywhere, to learning to speaking, and to recognize different people and their names. My wife always shows our son his grandparents’ pictures, and now our son can tell which one is grandpa and which one is grandma from the pictures., Bbut it will not be the same for him to spend time with his grandparents together, especially for his birthday. We would like my mother-in-law to stay with us for few months, so we can celebrate our son’s birth day together, bring our son for his first trick or treat this Halloween together (we did not bring him for trick or treat for the first two years because he was too little), and celebrate Christmas together. My wife and my mother-in-law will be extremely happy, and my son will also be happy to spend time with his grandma instead of seeing pictures. We really look forward to this family reunion.

My mother-in-law will only stay here for few months, because my father-in-law and sister-in-law will need her to return to China.
