1) Current evidence of ability to perform independent research in observational astronomy and/or science education and involveing undergraduate students.

I have performed independent research in science education and involving undergraduate students: Please see the supporting document signed by Professor YY (Director of XX). Also, publications of my research on teaching practice appear in the UPC institutional repository and ion Medium.com.
2) Previous experience teaching laboratory courses in astronomy and/or physics: I have provided a supporting document signed by the secretary of the Barcelona School of Industrial Engineering, UPC University.
3) Demonstrated experience with community outreach activities, especially with underrepresented minorities.
Throughout this year 2016 I have conducted informal Eeducation and Ooutreach Aactivities for children aged 6-16 years ofat the Ibn Rochd Intercultural Association (ASIR). I taught and led the student work program titled ‘Journey to Mars’, whose main goal was to attract more minorities and girls into the sciences. Please see the supporting document signed by Abdelhak Marso (President of the ASIR association), for more information.
Furthermore, during my performance as teacher of the Physics course at UPC University, I studied the learning needs of a group of students and gave a tailor-made course. In Spain, students from state schools, which most racial/ethnic minorities attend, arrive at the university trailing years of failure behind them. Besides that, I offered to give extra classes outside the class schedule, above all where class attendance was difficult for the students who combined work with studies. I also prepared tutorial sessions in English and Spanish for the new students who were having difficulty with the local language.
I adapted my teaching methodologies to new technologies. I set up my own teaching online portfolio to enhance students' learning and their reflection on this learning. I structured my website so that it could quickly and easily provide access to various materials, such as interactive applications, forum discussions and questionnaires.
Moreover, I carried out collaborative activities designed to engage students and foster community participation. I organized activities and discussions to make students feel cpassionartely about social issues (e.g. climate change, racial and gender inequity). I brought into class breaking news in Physics (e.g. press releases, Nobel Prizes).
Despite the fact that I have not been contracted to teach since 2012, I have continued engaging in teacher training courses and introducing noveltyw active learning activities in classrooms, thanks to the support of Dr. Enric Alvarez Lacalle and Dr. Jose Manuel Redondo Apraiz.
Recently, I have been writing revelatory articles about science, technology and education in a very popular Spanish journal called Tendencias21.net, ion Medium.com and Experts-Exchange.com. In parallel, I have engaged in online forums and debates about these topics in the above platforms, as well as ion other social networks such as ResearchGate.net and my personal blog ion Wordpress.com.
