I would like for you to please reconsider my application. I understand that my application was found ineligible due to the information on my current position that was verified by our new director Ms. Ekoi as a paraprofessional. I have been working at this center for 16 years and within theis 16 ytimear I have received an Advance Certificate, CDA, and Associate in Applied Science. With my current credentials, I am a qualified teacher/teacher aide at Carole Robertson Center for Learning. Over the last year there haves been some an increaise in the amount of children we service with challenging behaviors. Due to my training and abilities, I have been drawn to assist my Cco - teachers and children in certain situations as needed. I have shared with other teachers different strategies that may help them in their classrooms. Since the last time I applied for Greatstart, my job/position or status has not changed. I am still working in the same classroom with the same children. My job description is also the same and has been attached with this letter. My title haves not changed nor have my responsibilityies in the classroom. My transcript should be on file showing my accomplishments, credentials and degrees. The Carole Robertson Center for Learning teachers qualification is provided in order for you to review and reconsider my application. A Paraprofessional is considered a part of the direct teaching staff that works closely with teacher, family and child. A paraprofessional is can have the same responsibility ofas a teacher's aide/assistance and both are responsible for assisting teachers and children in the classroom.
