We appreciate the reviewers’ comments. The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of a vehicular obstacle location, placed upstream of the heat source. Three locations of the obstacle relative to the tunnel floor are studied, ranging from 0 to 0.06 m. For the third case, the obstacle was placed at 0.06 m from the floor (either 1.2 m in full-scale), to simulate the effect of a heavy weight or a container on a truck. As rRegardsing the area of the obstacle, we have tried to keep the same area for the different locations of the obstacle in the tunnel and this, for the purpose of keeping the same aspect ratio of the surface of the obstacle on the tunnel cross-sectional surface. Our goal is to study the location effect of the obstacle relative to the tunnel floor, while avoiding the influence of another parameter, such as the aspect ratio of the obstacle surface to the lateral cross-section surface of the tunnel. So, the same dimensions of the obstacle for the different cases studied were preserved.
