In Othello, written by Shakespeare, tells the tale of how dreams and goals will affect an individual in their lives. The influence of dreams and goals are important to everyone, not just one person. It's how far one is willing to go in order to meet their goals or have their dreams comes true, that is key. Unlike dreams, goals are what people aim for. That implies doing so outby csominge thing or putting someone’s life at risk. Due to jealousy, when Cassio had the same goal as Iago and he ended up achieving his goal, Iago became jealous and wanted to destroy both Othemllo and bCassioth. Iago’s feelings of hatred towards Othello is one of the main themes of the play.

Don't act the villain, don't look it, or speak it!

Everyone has dreams of becoming someone or something, just like Iago, after being not being chosen for being lieutenant; his anger drove him to ruin another individual's life. Othello’s nature is to be loving and trusting, but he is cast as an outsider due to his dark skin tone. Iago is the villain in this Shakespeare play, as in he needs no motivation for antagonism toward Othello. Passed over for promotion, Iago's hatred for Othello starteds to grow. Iago brplacings himself into danger is of no consequence to him, because he relies on his wit and believes that all can be destroyed. Once he sets out to destroy Othello, he proceeds bywith his plot and achieves his goal. He has always wanted to be a lieutenant and with Cassio out of the way, he hads his changce. The only way to make Othello could ever hater Cassio ais if he thought that Desdemona was cheating on him.

Iago has noticed Othello's tendency toward insecurity and overreaction, but not even Iago imagined Othello would go as far into jealousy as he did. Jealousy forced Othello to lose all his common sense and his respect and care for justice. Iago's scheme would not have worked without the underlying atmosphere of racial prejudice in which both Desdemona and Othello are very aware of. She had remained loyal to him until the end. He had always believed that he was unworthy of Desdemona and that she canould never love him, leading him to believe that this was true. Overall, having your goals taken away go easy would impact a person to go mad and ruin lives in the way of archieving it.

Iago’s individual goals include tricking Othello into thinking his wife was cheating on him with his new lieutenant. By demoting Cassio, Iago affects himself, Desdemona and Othello. He is now in place as lieutenant. After Desdemona is affected by the news she tells Othello that Cassio deserves a second changce, which leads Othello to believe they are in a relationship. People believed he is called Iago because he has had a reputation for honesty, for reliability and direct speaking. Othello and others in the play constantly refer to him as "honest Iago." In the end Iago’s dreams never truly came true, but because of the influence of his goals, in the end he destroyed everyone’s goals.
