John Ruiz was an ex -con, who served 20 years in a federal penitentiary for molesting his niece. He was released on parole for good behavior. He was a very quiet and calm individual. Even though he iwas now a free man, he still hasd the prison mentality in his mind. He livesd with his mom, Karen, who is and eighty years old womlady, an,d lives on food stamps, medical and other government assistantce programs. John will always ask his mom for permission to use the restroom, take a shower, eat and watch TV. His mom always remindsed him, that he iwas now a free man and he doesidn’t have to ask for permission for anything. John was a Michael Jackson impersonator and a big fan of pop music before he went to prison. His favorite Michael Jackson song was t'Thriller'. John lovesd to listen to the radio, and one day he borrowed his mom's radio, so he canould listen to his favorite radio station 102.7 kiss FM, - then thriller came on. He was really excited and started singing the song word for word. Then he went to his bedroom, looked at the mirror and started to impersonate Michael Jackson’s dancing moves. He groew his hair long, dyed it black, and started wearing leather shoes, coats, pants, shiny gloves and ray ban glasses. He later built a little stage in the backyard of his mom’s house, and started practicing MJ dance moves and lip -singing his songs. One afternoon when he was watching TV with his mom, an advertisement came up, and they were looking for celebrity impersonators who wantsed to compete for a $10,000 prize. He called the number that was on the TV screen and registered for the contest. HeJohn went to the contest and won the prize, then he became the best celebrity impersonator in his city.
