Siam wWeed or Chromolaena oOdorata (L.) King and Robinson) is a semi-woody shrub. It has been used as a traditional medicine ofin Thailand for a long time. tTo stop bleeding, bthey put crushed Siam Weed leaves on the wound. Wound healing is the process of skin repairing itself after injury by itself. The process haves four phases, that are1) hemostasis (blood clotting), 2) inflammation, 3) proliferation (growth of new tissue), 4) and maturation (remodeling). Hemostatics agents let hemostasis happen. Hemostasis is a process byin which bleeding spontaneously stop bleedings and maintain blood in vascular kept in thea fluid state in the veins (Rosado et al., 2009). Hemo oxygenase-1 (HO-1) is an enzyme in the Siam wWeed leaf that can help in acceleratinge wound healing (Pandith, Hataichanok et al., 2013). HemeIt doxygenase-1 (HO-1) is an enzyme that can accelerate wound healings by promoteding fibroblast cell migration and proliferation.
