Dear Ms. Tappert
,

¨C´mon you know who´d know.¨
¨I
'm telling you, Magoo´s going to make you say it standing on one foot. He´s not going to let you up until you cry uncle.¨ You might be a ra(blioank) yourself by the time you're done with it.¨

I would like to tell you about the book I am reading
, called, "Finding the Worm". It was copyrighted in 2015, and the genre of the book is humor. The book is written by the author, Mark Goldblatt, and I have read up to page 135. Overall, I enjoy reading the book and I seem to find myself wanting to read more and more, just to finfd out what happens next.

Let me
give a summary ofize what I ahave read thus far,:
The book takes place in Queens, New York during 1970. The main character of the story is J
Uulian Twerski. Juliain is a 13 year old 7th grader who lives a pretty average life until things start to fallgo down hill. INn the beginning, Julian and all of his friends get called down to the counclselor´s office. At this point, we are putting on our seat belts on, because we are a little worried. Once everyone is thepresent, the councseleor tells them about Quintin, and if the istate okayf orhis well-beinotg. They later find out that Quintin hasd developed a tumor. LaShorter only, Julian gets framed for his initials behaving been carved into a painting. Julian is sure that the guilty party was Delvin. Julian was told he was supposed to write a 200 -word essay on what hde thscribinksg good citizenship is. Julian tries multiple times, and ends up writting 200 of the same word. Soon, after all of the essays bweingre written theand submitturned in again, Quintin eventually coames home and arrives in a wheelchair. LatEver ontually, Quintin is back on his feet and receivesd a pinball machine from the New York Yabnkees as a get well present.

For the first topic
, I have a question that would be for the author. The question is, what made you think of the book titles, "Twerp" and "Finding the Worm?"
In tThise story of Julian Twerski it is atoll spread out into two books. Having a gripping book title to pull youas enticement just makes me want to read more. The book title, "Twerp" I can kind of understand, because Twerski, and Twerp they kisound of soundmewhat the same., Bbut, I don’t fully know howhere the book title cwames frchomsen. "Finding the Worm" is even more confusing, but something about tit makes me want to pick the book up and start reading from the beginning to the end.

These book titles are grip
ping and pullfascinate me in, but I want to know more about them and I am sure that somewhere sout thermehow, there is a way I could kget more infowrmation.

For the second
topic, I mean question, I want to finish strong and provide whalltever I can into what I am going to write today as I, sitting at this desk. I have been wanting to ask this question for a while now, but I thought it might be a good finale. The question is, what made you think of the whole story of Julian Twerski’s 6th and 7th grade years.

? Was the story based off ofn Goldblatt’s 6th and 7th grade years? Was this a thought of when Goldblatt couldn’t fall asleep at night? There are so many different possibilities of wthe geremination of the story, could of whicame from and that gets me thinking more about it than other topicas that I have brcoughtnsidered upinteresting in the past L.R.L’s. From the settings to the book titles to the characters, what made Goldblatt think of sitting down and telling him self that he was going to write this story.?
I am going to have to stop onwith that question, or my keyboard might get too tired.
