Currently, some 820 million people around the world are experiencing chronic hunger–nothunger, ie., not eating enough caloric energy to live normal lives. Of this, 113 million are coping with acute severe insecurity–hunger so severe that it poses an immediate threat to their lives or livelihoods and renders them reliant on external assistance to get by. These people can ill-afford any potential further disruptions to their livelihoods or access to food that COVID-19 might bring (FAO, 2020). The coronavirus began in early 2020, and at the same time posed a serious threat to agricultural production. As a natural experiment for evaluating the risk of among family farms provideprovides answers. This disease, unlike other types of risksrisk, does not directly affect family farms. It is the side effects caused by anti-pandemic measures that influence family farms’ behaviors. For example, coronavirus disease may create uncertainty for the global food market, which may lead to fluctuations in food supply and prices (Zhi-xiong, 2020).
