I liked the book version of "The Giver" more than the movie. The reason why I liked the book better is because the book expresses emotions and feelings with more detail. The movie, however, skippedskips over key emotions and details. The book also enhances our understanding of how the community works. The movie lacks some information about the community and its procedures. This information would help the reader or watcher understand Jonas's point of view in the story.
