I have chosen to upload mythe short story that made me a finalist and award-winner in the Genius Olympiad (Oswego, New York, USA) because one of the most crucial things of what defines “the me”“me” is Creative Writingcreative writing. When I feel like writing, it doesn’t matter what I’m doing or where I am at the moment, because I’ll grab a scrap of paper and start creating a new story. And suddenly, a grey office cubicle is a castle sitting on top of a hill that towers over a tiny world of dots and colors;, the dogs barking outside of my window turn all green, and the homeless man sitting in the road becomes a king. I escape to magical worlds of tree kingdoms and talking fishesfish, all in a small, paper treasure chest. I explore miles and miles in something that’s barely thicker than an inch. And when I finish a story, I actually feel like I have been holding my breath underwater and I'm finally relieving itrelieved when I come to the surface. Creative Writingwriting helps me stretch my mind, become acquainted with myself, and most importantly, shows me things so loopy that, to someone who hasn’t experienced this power, are unimaginable.
