I would like to make it clear that I am not here to portray immigration sinisterly, as myin a sinister way. My parents are immigrants themselves, who have made a sacrifice to leave their beloved home and family to venture into athe completely unknown country of Australia, in hopes of providing their child with the opportunity for a better future and a better life. Even though my parents did not migrate out of Vietnam now due to poverty, the chance to immigrate has changeschanged all of our lives for the better, as my family is provided with the life satisfaction, financial security, personal safety, and health that would be considered an unobtainable privilege in Vietnam.my

My
heart leaps with joy aswhen I am able to reunite with my extended family but simultaneousin Vietnam, but it simultaneously wrenches in agony. Imagine walking on the streets of an impoverished nation. You guysall, usually dressed in your name brand top, branded pants and branded shoes, while hearing the agonizing, begging screaming and pleading of, not only adults, but children who have nothing and seekingasking for a mere 5000 Dong (the equivalent to 35 cents in Australian currency, and thatcurrency); who, if lucky, will buy be able to buy scraps for them and their family to eat.
